Incomelec & Automatic Systems
Covering Colombia and parts of Latin America
Located in Bogotá, Colombia, Incomelec has worked with Automatic Systems since its inception 15 years ago. Incomelec has grown steadily to become the representative with the highest added value and the largest number of completed projects in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Guatemala.
Thanks to its remarkable ability to adapt to local markets, Incomelec has secured prestigious clients such as the Medelln Metro, the Bogotá and Medelln airports, Colombia's tallest buildings, Colombia's leading universities, Latin America's longest tunnel, over 85% of Colombia's toll plazas. It has also secured more than 50 major parking facilities in the region.
COMPREHENSIVE, ROBUST AND MARKET-ADJUSTED SOLUTIONS
With the goal of offering a value proposition tailored to current market conditions, Incomelec has committed to closely supporting clients throughout the entire process of designing, supplying, installing, and commissioning comprehensive solutions. Furthermore, it provides significant added value in services, customer relationships, and pricing, which has further strengthened the brand's position.
Incomelec values the unique or differentiating characteristics of its products and communicates them to its clients during the application phase, and often even from the initial drafting of specifications. This has helped solidify, maximize, and enhance Incomelec's commercial results. Latin America is a very specific market where the priority is to meet all the expectations of its diverse clientele. For this reason, in several high-profile projects, such as subways and airports, Incomelec has adapted Belgian equipment from Automatic Systems and its sister company, both local and international, to meet specific requirements. Several models of pedestrian access equipment have been customized for Incomelec, including the TGH, TR-49X, SLIMLANE, and SKYLANE ranges.
Furthermore, with the aim of tailoring the portfolio to each project, the entire product range has been very useful, as it has allowed us to aesthetically and functionally meet customer expectations. It is also a highly competitive market due to the local presence of several Brazilian manufacturers and the presence of Chinese manufacturers across the Pacific Ocean. This has influenced Incomelec's strategic decision to locally assemble its highest-selling products and to be the only distributor in the world to locally assemble the TR-490 and TR-491 tripods (now TRILANE). This is to fully penetrate the market, competing with aggressive strategies but with the highest quality.
Kris de Sutter, General Manager, concludes, "The relationship with Automatic Systems is a perfect complement; we implement solutions that millions of people use daily, for which we need a manufacturer like Automatic Systems with the greatest experience worldwide, providing us with the most reliable and robust equipment. For Automatic Systems, it is very beneficial because they are significantly expanding their presence in a market as special and competitive as Latin America, through a partner like Incomelec that demonstrates year after year sustained growth in all our business units to the benefit of both companies."
